Friday, March 7 – Saturday, March 9

This vibrant three-day festival draws thousands of visitors with its unique blend of Asian, Pacific, and Hawaiian cultures. Highlights include cultural performances, the first Bon Dance of the year, a Sake & Food Fest, the Japanese Film Festival, and the Grand Parade through Waikiki, followed by the Nagaoka Fireworks Show. Admission fees apply for the Hawai‘i Convention Center exhibition hall, where most performances and exhibits take place. Celebrate “Bridging Cultures, Together for a Peaceful Tomorrow” at the 29th Annual Honolulu Festival!

Join the Friends of Saint Patrick Hawaii for their annual Waikiki St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The march steps off on Kalakaua Avenue in front of Ft DeRussey and makes its way through Waikiki to the bandstand at Kapiolani Park. The parade has around 800 participants including community organizations, marching bands, various military groups, as well as keiki from a variety of local and mainland schools.

The annual Kawaii Kon is back at the Hawaii Convention Center. This 3-day convention celebrates Japanese anime (cartoons), manga (comics), and other facets of Japanese culture. The convention will host a wide variety of events, including art auctions, cosplay contests, anime premieres, video game and tabletop tournaments.
